ROSS FRIEDMAN – ADMINISTRATIVE FACULTY
Student Services, Manhattan Campus
SCOTT A. FREER – ADMINISTRATIVE FACULTY
Extern Coordinator-Philadelphia Campus
As a native Philadelphian, Scott's career started at Nazareth Hospital where he stayed for 17 years, holding positions that ranged from Surgical Technologist to Surgical First Assistant, as well as Director of Materials Management for the Operating Room.
He then went to Doylestown Hospital as a Surgical First Assistant and Materials Manager for the Operating Room.
Scott was instrumental as the first person to perform an in-house transplant harvest at the Gift of Life Donor Program in Philadelphia, where he built and trained all of the O.R. Personnel (Surgical Techs and Perfusionists) in how to perform a surgical harvest of living organs.
Scott served as a Clinical Director for a medical device company for four years before coming to Star Career Academy, where he says he has found his niche in helping develop the Surgical Technologists of the future. By enhancing the Surgical Technology program and Star Career Academy as a whole, Scott Freer’s expertise will accomplish more than simply training future surgical technologists – he will be bettering the lives of the patients they serve.
Scott's philosophy is: “Never forget where you came from, and the road it took to get where you are. Many people touched your career to make you who you are. Be one of ‘those’ people, and touch as many young lives as you can.”
